We have had quite a hard few weeks. DH had been sick and spent a week in the hospital. He had surgery and is home now. He has infection in a bone in his foot and will be on antibiotics for 6 months or so. It has been very stressful worrying about him and also having to be in so many places at one time and doing all the work by myself. I was fortunate that some family came up to help me. They cleaned my house and my son helped me at the barn. While they were here we did just a bit of sight seeing and we spent a good deal of time at the barn. One day we had a cook out there and we rode the horses and drove Max in the cart. We had a grand time but all too soon they had to go back home. I was quite depressed when they left and still have not gotten over it. My health has taken a downward turn and I am facing some tough decisions so that does not help. But with God's help I will make it through all this and be fine.
This is Radar, my La DGS. As soon as he got to the house he couldn't wait to see all the animals and he wanted to hold everything. Here he is with a duckling. I sent him home with 2 in a cage.
This is my DDIL, Amanda. I was teaching her how to drive the cart. Max makes me look like a regular teamster. I love the little guy.
We went to visit the Mountain Homeplace and got in a few family pics in a little wagon out front. This is my DS, Robert, his wife Amanda and their son, Rayden, aka Radar.
And here is Georgia, our DD and her son Nathaniel, aka Knock
And finally, here are DH and I.
