I think it's the color of the leaves. They complement the colors in his fur. That and the expression on his face.

Ya know, you are right! Maybe we humans need to be aware of that sort of thing when we are getting our photos made!

God gives us an amazing amount of freedom (free will) to follow Him or not. He has the best plan in mind for us, and sometimes when we are off chasing rabbits (busyness) or rolling in something (sin), he has to get out attention by picking us up and carrying us back to where we need to be. Sit! Stay! God has given us so many pictures in this world where we live, now if we will only look and obey. Animals can teach us a lot if we will only be observant. I understand people much better after spending a lot of time working with sheep.

Have you read Lessons from a Sheepdog by Phillip Keller?
An excellent book!

I think I would like to read that. I remember seeing it for sale at one time but I think maybe I could get it at the public library. I will put that on my list for winter reading when I can't get out to work in the garden.

AH ha! Yes, we have that one in our church library and I bet we have "Lessons from a Sheepdog" also. I will certainly call there and find out. Thanks for that tip.
