We have moved our former 2 1/2 year old site to this new location and are presently re-building the site. Since it is taking a long time to re-post our saved material, I hope you will be patient with the inconvenience caused by the rebuilding of the site.

If you are new to the site, we welcome you and hope you will make it your home away from home. We want “The Gathering Place” to be somewhat like the "Home Life" magazine that Southern Baptists print. By that, I mean that the content will be informative, interesting, and entertaining matter, but in reality it will be a witness for the Lord because of the Christian articles and posts that it contains. We also want it to be something that won’t “turn off” non-Christians, and therefore they might be led to the Lord by something that is written in one of the forums or posts that they read.

If any of you would like to write for the site or know someone who would, please let me know. We are striving to present non-denominational, purely Christian material to our members and viewers. We are also operating under the policy that we don't discuss political differences. Period!

We have some wonderful writers at the site. Please get to know them by visiting their forums. I know you will learn to love and respect our writers and look forward to reading their forums on a regular basis just as I do.

Please help us by spreading information about the site. The information above can be posted on bulletin boards at churches, placed on display at your office desk, etc. If any of you have any connections at small newspapers, Christian radio stations, etc. you might be able to spread the word about the site for us there. The site logo is available for use by anyone who would like to add it to a flier or email. Please copy and paste this message and forward it to your friends and ask them to do the same.

If you will tell your pastors, friends, relatives, co-workers, church members, etc. about “The Gathering Place”, it will help our membership to grow. If you don't have the time to give to the site by posting or spreading the word about it, please pray for us. We truly need and covet your prayers for the site. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for all the things that some of you have already done for us.
