Testing 1, 2, 3 ...Had a good day yesterday but it was a busy one as usual. Got Knock off to school first thing. Went for breakfast then did a few errands and took off the garbage. Went to a friend's barn where folks were gathering to share a farm call to have their horses coggins tests done and get health certificates. Gearing up for trail rides and show season. Found out the vet wasn't getting there until 2pm so we went for lunch. Bought a plate lunch from the deli at the service station and went out to a nearby lake for an impromptu picnic. Back to the barn and visiting with friends. Then we led the vet to another friend's house to test his 3 horses. Next it was off to our place for 3 of our horses. My BIG gelding who is in emotional rehab did not even flinch. He has come such a long way and I am very pleased and thankful. After leaving our place we went to another friend's who had his 2 horses and his brother's 2 done. We then went back to our place to feed up. Met James and Donna there (our partners) and got all the work done. We stopped on our way home at a prayer cell meeting and prayed for revival in our community. Saw a photo presentation by a couple of friends who just returned from a 3 week mission trip to Hong Kong and the Phillipines. Talked a while and got home around 11pm. I entered data in my equine records program and answered some email. Ate a bowl of cream of wheat around 3:30 am and went to bed at 4am. I slept a bit later this morning then started in on the housework but I am taking it easy today. We have church tonight so we will stay close to home most of the day. Thank Goodness!!! I am looking forward to getting my bale garden planted for spring. Got my bales free this year. May plant as many as 20 this year. Mostly tomatoes but I will also have peppers, yellow squash, cucumbers and green beans. Thinking about potatoes and strawberries too. I love strawberries mashed up with sugar and PET milk. (canned milk) Will any of you be gardening? I'd love to hear about it.
