Please think of my family in your prayersMy son Eric was taken to the hospital Saturday night. He is 30 years old with two small children. His legs gave out and he was unable to walk and is in considerable pain. They have found scar tissue at the base of his spine and near the top vertebrae and are biopsying a third growth that they suspect may be a tumor. They also did a spinal tap and found some sort of infection in the spinal fluid but details are scarce.
He was in an automobile accident several years ago and they think that is the cause of the scar tissue and that the scar tissue is the source of the infection.
Needless to say he and his sweet wife are scared. We may not know much for several weeks as he goes through all the tests and begins the round of specialists.
Also, please remember my parents. They are both doing poorly and Dad is getting weaker. They are both ready to face their maker when he calls them home so my prayer request is that God will ease their pains for the interim here on earth and continue to allow them their independence.

Dear Zany, This request didn't show up on my computer as being a new thread for some reason. I just found it when I was posting another request! I am so Sorry! I will, of course, pray for your requests as I feel sure that others reading this will do also. Please keep us informed as to your son's condition so that we will know how to pray for him.
I am so sorry about your parents' declining condition. They are two of the Lord's very special people on this earth who have lived their lives for Him in every way. I just pray that the Lord will watch over them and take special care of them until they go to meet Him in heaven. Our days on earth are few and filled with many miseries (as well as joys) but our days with our Lord will be forever and we will never suffer again when we go to meet Him in our heavenly home that our Lord has prepared for us.
Amen and praise God!

Elena, I thank you for your prayers. The Dr.s are continuing to run tests on my son and continuing to tell them nothing. He can walk now with crutches but just enough to get from one room to the next and is in a great deal of pain.
The folks are having a better week this week and are in good spirits.

Hello dear Zany,
I am wondering how your precious family is faring at this time. Please let us know so that we know exactly what to pray for in each situation. Hopefully things are better for all concerned.
Elena....continuing to pray for all concerned.....

Dad's catscan yesterday did not reveal a tumor on his thalmus as the Doctor had suspected so we are back to square one and still do not know what is causing his problems. The tumor behind his eyes is growing but very slowly and they do not think it will blind him for several more years. * He opted not to have it removed because of the possible life threatening complications *
On the good news side. They will be celebrating their 60th anniversary in a couple weeks!
We still have no information about what is causing my son's legs to fail. They have found scar tissue on the spine in 3 places but do not think it is severe enough to warrent surgical removal or that it is the cause of his present trouble. Tests continue and answers few.

Dear Brenda,
I will be holding your father, mother and son up in my prayers. It is so difficult for everyone when the cause of an illness is not understood. Let's pray that both situations will just "go away" and that it isn't the will of our heavenly Father that the causes remain unknown. I pray that the reasons for both health problems will be found quickly and will be remedied quickly also. The Lord is the Great Healer and all we can do is turn these situations over into His capable hands to solve for us. Give your parents a hug for me please and send me their names and address so I can send them a Christmas card of encouragement. Send me your son and his family's address also, if you don't mind. It can't hurt them one tiny bit to know that someone they don't even know loves them and is praying for them.
