God's Warrior
This was sent to me by my sister. It was written by a church friend of hers about her grandson. The author, Lenore, is a member of Second Baptist, Houston.
Casey will be home from Iraq, on "leave" for 15 days, on about 10/25 or 10/26!! We are so excited to get to hold him again, even if it's temporary. Then he goes back for 5 more months. The guys who sign up for the military these days KNOW that they're not going to get an assignment to go get a tan in Hawaii for 4 years!! They KNOW the reality of what they're signing up for. Whether you agree with how the war on terror is being prosecuted or not, our troops are honorable, hard working, devoted, fighting for all Americans kind of guys. They deserve our petitions to God Almighty for their protection. I could never have gotten through the last 3-1/2 years, nor could I get through the next 6 months without knowing that I have the ear of God. These next few weeks before our elections, the insurgents will be trying to cause as much destruction as possible. Please pray for Casey's safety and for ALL of our troops. It's the VERY least we can do.
