Please pray for Dixie Cagle who lives in North Carolina. She is going to have a milligram tomorrow and there is a lot of danger associated with doing this. She was in a wreck many years ago and this may have caused her problem. Her hands are just staying swollen & numb and it never goes away. The fingers on her left hand lock up, and the only way to unlock them is by using her other hand to massage them. When the doctor tested the reflexes in her legs, he said she’s got a whole lot more going on than just her neck. That's why he wants to do a spinal tap because she’s had neck trouble for many years. Since this sort of test is viewed on the spot, the doctor should be able to diagnose the problem tomorrow. She will be strapped down completely but will have to remain perfectly awake so she can warn them if there is pain. If the needle that will be inserted in the spine slips there is extreme danger so please pray that the test will go well and that no further damage will result from the testing.
I will report back here just as soon as I hear anything.

Thanks So Much...
Hi, Everyone. Thank you, Elena for posting this for me. And thank you to everyone who offered up prayers for me. I was really kinda scared, which is NEW to me, things like this don't usually bother me.
I came through the myelogram well. It didn't hurt, just gave me a fierce case of the willies, feeling the needle going up through my spine. It was really weird!
I did NOT get a final diagnosis today. The Dr. who did the myelogram asked me why I was there instead of going straight to surgery, which I need desperately judging from my MRI from last month. I told him I was just doing what the neurosurgeon told me to do. He said, oh, ok. And so he went to work.
I only had to stay at the hospital for two hours after the spinal tap & CT scan, so I was home by 1 pm! I was SOOOO glad
So, now it's just a waiting game for Dr. Loomis to call & let me know the findings. Unfortunately, he was nowhere to be found today, so I hope I hear back soon.
Again, thank you guys very much for the prayers. I had an excellent dr. today, it couldn't have gone more smoothly

We will continue our prayers for you and hope that you will keep us posted here as to what the doctors tell you about your upcoming surgery.
We love you and God loves you.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Humbling...
I love all you guys, too. I hate not having the time to come on TGP like I used to. But I guess, after surgery, I'll have plenty of downtime to come & catch up on all Aloe's gorgeous photography, all Mary's fantastic trail riding posts (Nice to see you got your own forums, guys And get to know some of the new members here at the old home place.
Of course I'll keep you guys posted. I just hope it doesn't take my neurosurgeon a long time to get back with me on diagnosis & what the surgery will entail. Geez, I dread it!
God's Warrior
....and we dread it for you, my friend. I just hope they will get that surgery going soon so you can get back to living a more normal life. We will continue praying for you, your health problems and for a skilled surgeon to perform the necessary surgery to get you over this physical bridge and back to good health.

Amen...
One thing I'm certain of is GOOD doctors. I have good doctors all the way around I feel very comfortable with both my primary care doc, and this neurosurgeon, as well. The neuro is Dr. Loomis. He's very thorough, very clear with me on what is up & what he intends to do. Not condescending at all. I have been blessed with great friends,a great family, and great caretakers.
