Pesky SquirrelsPesky critters - Tongue in Cheek Question????
The pesky squirrely critters are digging up lots of my newly potted little plants and just throwing them aside. I caught a picture of a whole family of the them this morning. I wonder.... if I wait till hunting season to shoot them if they would be a bit tough by then to eat. They might even be tough now. What do you think????
I think I may have been associating with Horseshoe tooooooo long!!!!!!

heheh...they look like they might need a long long stewing to tenderize them! Definitely crock pot material!
Nuttin' like a good squirrel sauce piquante though!
Be still, my Bleeding Heart!
(Nice blooms on those plants!)

I thought you would appreciate that picture. I couldn't resist the temptation to post it. I just bought the mushrooms from a guy who makes them and sells them cheaply. They come in two parts. The top part and the stem. He has a rod in the stem that sticks in the ground and also fits in a carved out place in the bottom of the mushroom. Some small object could be plugged in there and then pulled out before the concrete hardened. I am tempted to make a few. The tops could be poured in all kinds of containers. How many mushrooms do I really NEED? Guess that is like asking, how many plants do I really need? Maybe I need to disassemble the darned mushrooms and post pictures of the details, huh? SOMEONE might want to make them once they find this site. LOL!
You get a gold star for recognizing the background flowers!

Thanks for the star!

Any time... as long as it is not costing me anything! (It isn't real gold, sorry! LOL)

Hey! I thought your dogs would chase all those pesky squirels out of the yard. Our dog, Rose won't let them stay in our yard. Birds or those underground pests if she can catch them. Ha!

That picture was taken in my front yard.... and my dogs wouldn't allow squirrels there either if there wasn't a fence around the back yard keeping them there.
The critters in the front yard pictures are made of some kind of plastic...Not too good for eating.....Certainly not good for squirrel stew~

I wish my squirrels looked like yours. We have ground squirrels here and they can take out the squash patch in a night if they bring their buddies. Grrrr.

My son has been invaded by them. They have made holes in his attic and have raised babies there for a couple of years. He has tried everything to make them stop but nothing has worked. They pretty much laugh at the traps now. He is now shooting them as a last ditch effort to keep them out of the house. My hubby loves cooked squirrel so it has been a good thing for us. (I don't eat the little critters) I think he killed about 28 last year.[/b]
