We have been having a good run of nice weather so we have been spending a lot of time at the barn. We have spent the night there a couple of times. We have our tent set up in the loft and it is quite comfortable. One night we had a hot dog roast which was lots of fun. Friday night we had a cookout and invited friends to join us. It was great. After we finished eating and cleaned up, our friends went to feed up and planned to come back and visit a while longer but a thunderstorm moved in and put an end to the party. But we slept good with the rain on the roof. You can't put a price on peace and quiet!
On a sad note, I am afraid our barn cat, Smokey Tom, has disappeared. We have not seen him in over a week. He looked like he had been hit by a car several weeks ago. He was limping, had a big skinned place on his back leg, a large lump on his breast bone and was cross eyed. The last time he was at the barn he looked like he had had a seizure and he has not been back since. I have left food out for him and it has not been touched. I really miss him. He is such a sweet little guy. I hope he is just out "tom catting" and returns soon. Please say a prayer for him.
