New Herd Member!Friday morning our KMP/Standardbred mare, Cafe' Au Lait aka Coffee, gifted us with a beautiful, healthy little stallion foal. He is doing great as is his Mother. His color is hard to describe and they nearly always change after they shed their foal coat so it remains to be seen what color he shall end up. It is said that 11 months gestation gets a filly and 12 months a stud. He was born eleven months to the day so he ought to have been a filly. With that in mind, we named him Awdda Ben and we call him Ben.

Ben is really growing. He is 3 weeks old now and has grown 2" taller. He is filling out nicely too.

Yes. He is going to be a big horse. Not just tall but heavy boned. He will be a traveling machine.
