My web site is down

Smokey is sorry, but the site he hosted his photos and such on is down. Pray that It gets repaired.

I most certainly will. I know I would be in a panic if this one went down. Any idea if it is something they will fix or are they discontinuing the site? That happened to TGP as you know. Not a pleasant thing for those of us who take our sites seriously! Crying or Very sad

You may have a special forum to put them all on here if you would like. The photo service that we use is working great now.

Actually the site is back up...
Unfortunately I have to re load all my photos.

I have it easy. The photography site who's hosting mine lost 20,000 photos Shocked

Thankfully you had all of your pictures to use for backup. I am looking into how to actually backup this site on a regular basis. Since it took me forever to save everything last time and I am still not finished putting all of the material on this new site, I can't stand the thought of actually having to do all that again. It looks like it might be a good idea to ask the site where you post your pictures if they don't maintain backups for their site. If not, they should!

Well, in an e-mail I got today, the problem wasn't just their servers, but the data center backups also failed

Oh, My Word! Which just lets us know that we'd BETTER be backed up BUNCHES, huh?
