I grew up on a small farm in the south. We attended a small country church and there during a summer revival, at the age of 14, I became a Christian. I realized that God loved me and had sent His Son to die in my place for my sins. Also, I realized that He had a plan and purpose for my life. At the age of 16 I attended a church camp and heard foreign missionaries talk. This created in me a love for missionaries. When I completed high school, I enrolled in college with the idea that God might use me as a foreign missionary. He had other plans for my life.
I met my husband at college and we married and had 5 children. We have always been active in our church, and raised our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. When all the children had finished college, God allowed me to do foreign mission work. He has blessed me by allowing me to go to Moscow, Moldova, Romania, Costa Rica, Brazil twice, Armenia, Australia, China, Israel, New York, Canada three times, New Orleans, Louisiana and Uganda, Africa.
Everywhere I go, I tell them that God loves them and that He has a plan and purpose for their lives just as He has for mine. Telling someone about Jesus is such a joy whether at home or abroad. Whether I am teaching Sunday school or Bible Study, I always tell them that Jesus loves them, and I try to encourage them to walk close to the Lord. I know that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that He loves all sinners and seeks to save all. None of us are worthy of that kind of love, but He gave it to us as a free gift. You can have that free gift too by acknowledging that you are a sinner, ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, believe that He died on the cross for your sins, confess your sins and ask for forgiveness and believe then He will come into your life and save you. The greatest joy in my life is serving Jesus
