I am fine, just dealing with whiplash and soreness. Our Buick was a total loss. Rather than repeat everything I've already posted in my blog, here is the link in my blog. All the entries concerning the accident are in the car accident category (they're in reverse chronological order).

I am so thankful that there was no oncoming traffic, that the man who rear-ended my car was not hurt, and that he readily admitted fault. I am also thankful we found a replacement car so quickly. Please pray for my recovery to be full and for this replacement car to last us a long time. Smile

Thank God you weren't badly hurt, and nobody else was either. The alternative could have been very bad. It sounds like you have been made aware of muscles you never knew you had. I hope you will have a few more days to recover before having to go back to work.

You bet I'm hearing from unknown muscles! It hurt like crazy to yawn the day after the accident. It still hurts some, along with chewing.

Now the muscles have more of a burning feeling. It's a weird progression and definitely not something cut and dry like, "oh, each day I feel so much better!". There are ups and downs I didn't expect.

I just viewed that video of you in the hospital. (See link in the post above this one.) I couldn't help but think that was so typical of you and Howie to put things in video or photos. That clip was really cool. You guys would have made great reporters since that desire is so strong in both of you.

Isn't it amazing how we can relate to someone else's suffering once it has happened to us? Truly, experience with a subject makes us more understanding of others' problems and experiences. That is why it is so imperative that we use our life's experiences to relate to others in their trials and tribulations and to witness to them about our Lord.

Hopefully your recovery will be a short one and you will be able to put this experience way behind you really soon. I hope and pray that your body will heal fast and completely. Thank the good Lord you weren't killed or maimed for life. That is a true praise for sure.

Kimberly, you should have been a reporter! Who but you would take a video while strapped down in the ER?

From your description of the odd aches, pains and burning sensations, one could say you are having a sense-ational recovery thus far.

Any follow up appointments scheduled to check your progress? or physical therapy on the horizon?

Great sounding replacement car, although I'm sure you would prefer to have the old one back, pre wreck of course. Olay wouldn't fix the wrinkles on that one, it was more like Humpty Dumpty. And though you may feel like you match, I'm thankful to hear that you are at home, somewhat mobile and not in traction or a body cast.

I hope you get to feeling better very soon! DH was in an accident about a month ago. He wasn't hurt other than bruises from the air bag, but the car was totalled.

You might remember my telling about the same thing happening to my grandson this summer. Praise the Lord that none of the three of you were killed or mimed for life. Vehicles, unlike people, can be replaced. Very Happy

Howie got the new car today and had four tires put on it at a local shop within walking distance of his office. The tires took care of the front end's wobble.

Yeah, Mary, even Botox wouldn't help that Buick. LOL

I have an appointment with my doctor on November 26. Either she's very busy or she wanted to wait until I'd had a chance to heal up some before seeing how I'm doing. Considering how fast they normally get us in, it's probably the latter.
