I just heard that 63% of the American people agree with Obama and the Democrats on what they are doing to us and what they have planned for us! But, is any of this Constitutional? The United States was founded as a Republic and a Republic must follow the Rule of Law of its Constitution. But, does it? For the past 100 years the American people have been brainwashed into believing the United States is a democracy. Well, what is the difference? A democracy is majority rule and is destructive of liberty because there is no law to prevent the majority from trampling on individual rights. Whatever the majority says goes! Whereas, a republic is a government of law under a Constitution. The Constitution holds the government in check and prevents the majority (acting through their government) from violating the rights of the individual. Professor Alexander Fraser Tyler, two centuries ago, had this to say about democracy: " A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of Government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largess out of public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy, always to be followed by a Dictatorship." Please read our US constitution, it is short and was written so that even the poorly educated farmer of the time could understand it. If we hurry, we still have time to act on this. The Senate Judiciary Committee held hearings last week on the "Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act,” S 909 (aka "Pedophile Protection Act"), but did not yet forward to the full Senate. S 909 will mirror the already passed House bill HR 1913, which makes "sexual orientation," "gender," and "gender identity" into federally-protected classes and protects up to 547 types of sexually deviant behaviors, including: Incest – sex with one’s offspring (a crime, of course) Necrophilia – sexual relations with a corpse, also a crime Pedophilia – sex with an underage child, another crime Zoophilia – bestiality, a crime in numerous states Voyeurism – a criminal offense in most states Fronteurism – a man rubbing against an unknown woman’s buttocks Coprophilia – sexual arousal from feces Urophilia – sexual arousal from urine This legislation also lays the legal foundation to investigate, prosecute and persecute pastors, youth pastors, Bible teachers, and anyone else whose speech and thought is based upon and reflects the truths found in the Bible. Any public prayer against the sin of homosexuality could be construed as inciting violence, especially if those prayers are offered in Jesus' name. S 909 infringes on our First Amendment Right to free exercise of religion and the freedom of speech. "Are environmentalists scaring your kids? I say "Amen" to the basic premise. Materialism is polluting the earth - and people's minds and souls.
Capitalism without conscience is social Darwinism ("survival of the fittest" - if you can exploit someone to your economic gain, then you have every right to do it). Capitalism with Christian standards is perfectly good and the best economic scenario, but do we see that in most companies? I doubt it. I think that Christians need to rethink their buying habits. If we think that God created the earth, how should we use and treat it? What is Christian about buying things made by companies that exploit other people? Read the Old Testament prophets and the Gospels and see how often Jesus and the prophets warned against mistreatment of the poor. It was part of the reason why Sodom and Gomorrah where destroyed and part of why Israel was driven into exile. Remember that the church at Laodicea was warned about their materialism (Revelation). What would Jesus buy? What would He decide He could live without? 1 John 3:17 But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? |

Urgent - Contact your Senators Item One: Sonia Sotomeyor The United States deserves only the best people on its Supreme courts. Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomeyor says that she is a poster child for “Affirmative Action.” She said that if it was not for Affirmative Action she would not have even gotten into college because of her poor grades and would not have advanced as she has. Obama chose her because she would follow his radical socialist agenda rather than our Constitution when making decisions. She believes that our Constitution should be interpreted according to our culture, not as it was intended. Sotomeyor is a gun hating raciest that believes abortion is good for America and the world. Please phone, fax and/or e-mail your two US Senators and tell them you do not approve of Sonia Sotomeyor for our Supreme Court. Tell them not to pay too much attention to what she says at the hearings, but to look at her record. Item Two: Hate Crimes Bill Majority Leader, Harry Reid is basically saying, protect the pedophiles or we will not pay the troops! Reid is rushing the anti-faith Hate Crimes bill to the floor of the Senate this week by attaching it as an amendment to the Defense Authorization bill which Congress must pass in order to fund our military. Reid knows opposition is growing and he fears the bill may not survive on its own. Real freedom means the least government — government conspicuous by its absence Another Distraction July 27, 2009 Professor Gates vs. the Cambridge police and Obama's “stupid police” remark about the incident has reignited the race issue and taken the American people's mind off the dismantling and destruction of our once great nation. The current administration is rushing our nation into a totalitarian socialist society. The House and the Senate are working on several bills that, if passed, will destroy America's liberty as well as its economy. Among the top concerns of all Americans should be Healthcare which will limit and reduce care and raise costs, the Cap & Trade climate bill that has little to do with climate control, but every thing to do with people control. These two bills will wreck the “American Dream”, our economy and destroy the dollar. And there is the Hate Crime bill that will destroy our First Amendment Right to free speech and put our preachers in prison. Obama is pushing to get these bills passed quickly because he knows the longer they take, the more people will learn just what these bills will do to them. People are already putting pressure on their Senators and their Representatives and they are getting nervous. Please note that these bills, as with most federal legislation passed and bureaucracies created in the past 100 years, are NOT authorized by our Constitution. How does this happen? Because "We the People" allow it! It is our duty as American patriots to learn the true facts about the issues and to spread the word to those who are asleep. It is our job to see that those in Washington uphold the Constitution that they swore to uphold. We must warn them that if they continue to ignore our Constitution, we will work very hard to see that they do not return to office at the next election. Also, the Senate is getting close to appointing Sonia Sotomayor to our Supreme Court for life! She believes that our Constitution is a living document that changes as society changes and that abortion is good for America. She believes that foreign law should influence the Court’s decisions. Pray for our nation’s leaders, its churches and its citizens. Shortly after the signing of our Declaration of Independence, Patrick Henry said, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for this very reason people of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity and freedom of worship here.” Anti-Christian Bigotry Since the early 1900’s there has been an incremental removal of all traces of religion and the heroics of our Founders from our school texts. The Carnegie and other liberal Foundations spent over one hundred fifty million dollars, from 1904 to 1910, to finance a group of college students through graduate school, and to have them rewrite American history to conform to secular humanism. In 1949, a secularist dominated Supreme Court ruled that our Founders built a wall, “high and impregnable,” separating the church from the state. This was never a law, it was legislation from the bench! The memory of our heritage is fading from our national memory. But what is the downside if we forget our heritage? President Woodrow Wilson: “A nation which does not remember what it was yesterday, does not know what it is today, nor what it is trying to do.” Now, The Freedom From Religion Foundation is suing to stop the engraving our of national motto "In God We Trust," and the Pledge of Allegiance at the new Capitol Visitor Center in Washington, DC. The lawsuit claims the taxpayer-funded engravings would be an unconstitutional endorsement of religion. This is just another attempt by the radical left to ban God from the public square. The House and Senate passed identical resolutions this month directing the Architect of the Capitol to engrave "In God We Trust" and the Pledge in prominent places at the entrance of the visitor center. "In God We Trust" became the official national motto in 1956, but the phrase goes back to our founding. The Constitutional authority for our government to mention God is right there in our founding documents. Our Declaration of Independence states the fact our Founding Fathers recognized the existence of God, and referred to Him as “Nature’s God” and “The Creator.” During the Civil War there were some that felt the United States might not survive the war and they were concerned that future historians might think we were a heathen nation. It was decided that some reference to God should be placed on our money. “In God We Trust” was selected and Congress passed the necessary legislation and was placed on our coins starting in 1864. In 1954 the phrase “under God” was added to the Pledge of Allegiance. President Eisenhower stated: “In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America’s heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country’s most powerful resource in peace and war.” The text of the bill asserted, “At this moment of our history the principles underlying our American Government and the American way of life are under attack by a system whose philosophy is at direct odds with our own…The inclusion of God in our pledge therefore would further acknowledge the dependence of our people and our government upon the moral directions of the Creator…This is not an act establishing a religion...The phrase ‘under God’ recognizes only the guidance of God in our national affairs.” It wasn't until 1956, when President Eisenhower signed a bill making “ In God We Trust” our National Motto and authorizing the phrase to be placed on our paper money. In 1977 the Supreme Court upheld the use of the motto in public buildings, including public schools. A new NATIONAL SPEED LIMIT (remember 55 mph?) is now being discussed in Washington because of a report of an increase in highway deaths since the national speed limit was repealed. Speed limits should be set by state and local authorities and based on local traffic and road conditions, not set by some bureaucrat in DC that has no idea what the conditions are in your area. These same people want to pass a FEDERAL LAW making it illegal to text while driving. Anyone who texts while driving is an idiot and should be ticketed for distracted driving. Yes, thats right, all states and local areas already have laws against distracted driving, why do we need an unconstitutional federal law when we already have a local law? All we need to do is enforce our present law. The federal government tells the states that federal highway dollars will be withheld if they do not comply with their demands. The government acts like it is their money, but it is your money that they have confiscated from you by force! Please contact your two US Senators and your US Representative. Aug. 17, 2009 First of all it's Un-Constitutional Peter Fleckstein (aka Fleckman) has been reading the House Health Care bill and has been posting his findings on Twitter. On July 28th, I posted his findings through page 498, Today I will cover pages 502 through 757. His postings of the rest of the bill will follow. Note: All comments are Fleckstein's. Let me say that all the discussion about health care has been about what the bill should or should not contain. But the discussion should be whether or not the bill is Constitutional. Article 1, Section 8, lists the powers of Congress. If a power is not listed, the Congress has no authority to exercise such power. Health care is NOT listed. Therefore, Congress has no authority to even discuss such power. OK, now lets look at Fleckstein's findings in this bill that will move the United States from being a free nation into a socialist totalitarian nation. * PG 502 Line 5-18 Government builds the "Center" to conduct, support, & synthesize research to define our Health Care Services. * PG 502 Section 1181 Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research Established. - Hello Big Brother - Literally. * PG 503 Line 13-19 Government will build registries and data networks from YOUR electronic medical records. * PG 503 Line 21-25 Government may secure data directly from any department or agency of the US including your data. * PG 504 Line 6-10 The "Center" will collect data both published & unpublished (that means public & your private info) * PG 506 Line 19-21 The Center will recommend policies that would allow for public access of data * PG 518 Line 21-25 The Commission will have input from HealthCare consumer reps - Can you say unions & ACORN? * PG 524 18-22 Comparative Effectiveness Research Trust Fund set up. Aug.18, 2009 On Friday Aug.14th, Ms Gluck, of the Kendall County (TX) Democratic Party, wrote a commentary in the Boerne (TX) Star newspaper entitled “We must not stand idly by.” She said that every American should support Obamacare, especially Christians and Jews because they commanded by God to help those less fortunate. My Letter to the Editor Dear Editor, Re: Claire Oxley Gluck's “We must not stand idly by” (The Star 8-14) While it is true that Christians and Jews are commanded to help those who are less fortunate, help is to be given with love and the free will of the giver – not by government decree and confiscation. Is a federal government health care system or health care insurance constitutional? Article I, Section 8, specifically enumerates the powers granted to Congress and health care is not listed there, along with many other laws, both pending and passed, that restrict our liberty and our rights. Our US Constitution was written to restrict the federal government. If a particular action is not enumerated, it is unconstitutional for the federal government to take such action. Many say health care falls under the “general welfare of the United States” as listed in Article I, Section 8-1. However this phrase refers only to the powers granted to the federal government in Section 8. Others refer to the "Necessary and Proper Clause" of Article I, Section 8-18. This does not grant the federal government unlimited authority, but gives it some leeway for certain things – only as long as those actions apply directly to the Constitution's specifically enumerated powers. James Madison, considered the Father of our Constitution, stated "For what purpose could the enumeration of particular powers be inserted, if these and all others were meant to be included in the general power?” The United States is a Constitutional Republic. Its government must follow the Rule of Law of its Constitution. Politicians and Judges are saying that our Constitution is a living document, meaning that it changes with the whims of society. However, our Constitution must be followed as written and intended. When its meaning is questioned, the writings and speeches of our Founders must be researched, rather than looking to foreign law or a judge's personal opinion. Our Founding Fathers were wise and knew that some things must change over time, that's why they wrote in the amendment process. They made the process hard and long so that our Constitution would not be amended frivolously. Thank you for voting, Gran'pa Ed Here is a recap of Dillon's racing career: Fifteen year-old Dillon Spreen started racing Quarter Midgets at the age of 5 and by the time he was 11, he had won over a hundred races, seven championships and set several track records. In mid 2005, he moved up to the Allison Legacy cars. In 2005 Dillon won the “Most Improved Driver” award and won the final race of the season. Dillon did not win any races in 2006, but his consistent 2nd and 3rd place finishes earned him enough points to win the Lone Star Allison Legacy Championship. Dillon also won the Lone Star Allison Legacy Championship in 2007. He ran a total of 25 races in 2007, with 23 top 5 finishes, including 11 wins, 8 second places, 2 third places and 2 fourth places, with only 2 races out of the top ten. He also set 5 new track records during the 2007 season. For 2008, Dillon moved up to the full size V8 powered NASCAR type Late Model cars in the very competitive Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS). Dillon finished 7th overall and 2nd in rookie points, competing against 37 of the top stock car drivers in Texas. Dillon had held 6th overall and was the rookie points leader until two unfortunate incidents late in the season. Dillon was taken out by a wreck on Aug. 30th and then a rear suspension bracket failure took him out of the Sept.20th race. Also Dillon, the youngest driver in the series, and his team received The Texas Super Racing Series (TSRS) Sportsman of the Year Award for outstanding sportsmanship toward the other drivers and teams during the 2008 season. For the 2009 season, Dillon is driving the Alexander Racing Team's Late Model in the TSRS series. He is currently fifth in points and has one win.

Make sure to get other items now also, like necessary supplies of toilet paper, feminine products, medications, soap, needles and thread, everything you use daily and don't even think about. We are entering a time of real trouble which no one knows for sure what the outcome will be. Don't be caught unaware. Don't be caught at the grocery store and have nothing to buy or the money to buy it with. Take your money out of the banks just for safety's sake since so many people are talking about bank closings. That could be disastrous for people to have money and not be able to use it This may never happen and I hope it doesn't, but it could as it did back in the 30's. President Bush originally sent troops to Afghanistan to root out the Al Qaeda terrorists that attacked the World Trade Center. When the Al Qaeda hid out in the mountain caves and could not be found, Bush turned his wrath on Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Obama said he would get our troops out of Iraq, and he is doing so. But, he is sending the troops to Afghanistan to fight the religious Taliban insurgents. Since the time of Alexander the Great (born 356 BC), nation after nation has tried to stop the religious wars in Afghanistan, but failed. “The U.S. cannot create a Western-style nation-state in Afghanistan. It is time to stop trying. "Man's freedom opens up to him an opportunity to become that which he can authentically be.” — Karl Jaspers, 'Way to Wisdom,' 1951 Aug. 27, 2009 Let's Look At Our Pledge of Allegiance Adapted from the writings of David Barton The Pledge of Allegiance is not actually part of our national heritage. It was written in 1891 by Frances Bellamy, a socialist clergyman. Bellamy was appointed to direct a national celebration of the public schools for Columbus Day on behalf of the National Education Association (NEA). In 1891 the public schools were still dominated by local school boards, but the NEA hoped to centralize education under the control of professional educators. Frances Bellamy was a co-founder of the Society of Christian Socialists and the spokesman for the Nationalist Movement which promoted a socialist America. He was a follower of the Fabian Socialist movement which sought the same objectives as the militant Marxists, but employed incrementalism rather than violent rebellion. Bellamy’s plan was to incrementally introduce socialism through the school system. The Pledge was originally written “my flag and the republic for which it stands.” No particular flag was mentioned as Bellamy wanted it to be an international pledge. The public schools, under pressure of the NEA, adopted the Pledge. Soon the Pledge was under attack by patriotic organizations such as the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Legion for the internationalism they saw it contained. They successfully lobbied Congress to alter “my flag” to “the Flag of the United States,” much to the dislike of Bellamy. In 1954, when Congress added the phrase “under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance, President Eisenhower stated: “In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America’s heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country’s most powerful resource in peace and war.” The text of the bill asserted, “This is not an act establishing a religion...The phrase ‘under God’ recognizes only the guidance of God in our national affairs.” The constitutional authority to utter the words “under God” in our pledge is right there in our founding documents. Our Declaration of Independence states the fact our Founding Fathers recognized the existence of God, and referred to Him as “Nature’s God” and “The Creator.” The Declaration makes clear what most citizens of the colonies believed; that they were establishing a new nation based soundly on the laws of God and even asked for God’s protection of our nation. The secularists and others may argue that the Declaration of Independence has nothing to do with the Constitution. However the Declaration of Independence is the charter of the United States. This is the document that makes us a nation. It tells us who we are and what we stand for. It does not tell us how to run the country, that is what the Constitution is for. In a corporation, the charter is higher than the by-laws and the by-laws must be interpreted to be in agreement with the charter. Therefore, our Constitution (our by-laws) must be in agreement with our Declaration of Independence. The most important statement in our Declaration is that we are to operate under the laws of God. When the courts are deciding what our Constitution means, they must remember our national charter, the Declaration of Independence. The Constitution does not mention God, but it does not have to because the Declaration is a higher document. All our laws must be consistent with the laws of God or they will violate our national charter. The Pledge of Allegiance, with the change to “the Flag of the United States” and with the words “under God” added, expresses the opposite of what its socialistic, one world government author intended. Congress not only acknowledged that we are a free and sovereign nation, but also that there is a God and that our nation is to operate under His laws. Red Skelton aired this review of our Pledge on his TV show in 1969. By Bill Wilson, Word of Life Ministry, www.dailyjot.com The healthcare socialization battle in the White House war against Americans has taken a new turn--scare tactics to cause Americans to accept government control of their lives. In the past two days, numerous stories have been written about how the government is preparing for a swine flu pandemic. First, there was a story quoting Health and Human Services spokesman Bill Hall that there are only 45 million doses of the swine flu vaccine that will be ready by mid-October--about a third of the anticipated need of 120 million. Then a White House panel of scientific advisors issues a warning that swine flu may hospitalize 1.8 million and kill double the people of a normal flu season, about 90,000. When the swine flu outbreak occurred in Mexico in April, the White House declared a national health emergency. But Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano refused to issue travel advisories or to screen passengers on flights arriving from Mexico. Dr. Richard Besser, head of the Center for Disease Control, said at the time, "We do think this will continue to spread but we are taking aggressive actions to minimize the impact on people's health." Instead of shutting down travel and border crossings, the Feds released 12 million vaccine doses. Now, as children are returning to school, the White House has issued a report that the swine flu "poses a serious health threat to the nation." NaturalNews.com editor Mike Adams reported on August 5 that the patent protecting the swine flu vaccine states that "ingredients used in the vaccine are derived from the kidneys of African Green Monkeys who are first infected with the virus, then allowed to fester the disease, and then are killed so that their diseased organs can be used to make vaccine ingredients." Adams also documented that the patent is held by the National Institutes of Health and a large military defense contractor, DynCorp. DynCorp, Adams says, is contracted by the US government to patrol the US/Mexico border, near where the first H1N1 swine flu virus was originally detected. The swine flu vaccine may do more harm than good. London's Daily Mail reported on August 15 that the UK's Health Protection Agency warned that the vaccine could trigger a brain disorder that "attacks the lining of the nerves, causing paralysis and inability to breath, and can be fatal." (Do you remember the 1976 flu outbreak – when more people died from the vaccine than from the flu?) The White House is using the media, school children, and the swine flu to scare Americans into accepting socialized medicine. It is complicit in allowing the swine flu into the United States and is working with a military contractor that stands to benefit greatly from an epidemic. Think the unthinkable. This is war. And did you know that our government spends an estimated $5 billion dollars per year providing services and programs in more than 200 languages? That's right, over $5 billion dollars per year so that immigrants who refuse to learn English can receive government benefits and become citizens and vote. It was Bill Clinton that signed an Executive Order mandating this. Now immigrants do not have the incentive to learn English that they once had. Past polls show that over 82% of the American people want English as our official language. Year after year, a bill ( The English Language Unity Act) has been introduced in Congress to make English as our official language, yet Congress has refused to act. German lung specialist Wolfgang Wodarg said that the nutrient solution for the vaccine consists of cancerous cells from animals, and fears that your risk of cancer could be increased by injecting these cells into your body. Distrust of authority should be the first civic duty. -- Norman Douglas, 1941 Sept. 8, 2009 Smoke & Mirrors? Re: Obama's message to a captive audience of our nation's school children. The US Dept. of Education (DOE) study guide asked the teachers to have their students write down what they thought they could do to help Obama reach his goals. These would then be collected and then at a latter date, the students would be asked if they followed through on their goal of helping Obama. The DOE then dropped this suggestion because of public outcry. Did Obama also change his intended speech to our school children? The message he gave did not reflect what the DOE study guide suggested he would say. I heard Obama's speech live on the radio. His message was strictly about staying in school, studying hard and about personal responsibility. (Imagine, Obama calling for personal responsibility!) Obama spoke of his troubles in school and how he coped with his problems. Was Obama's message designed to get the children on his side? Would the children go home and tell their parents what a wonderful man he is? And was the timing of this message, the day before his speech to Congress and the nation on his health care plan intentional? Don't be fooled by his smooth speech. ------------------------------------------------------------ Our Senators are now back in DC. One of the first things on the agenda is Cap & Trade. The Cap & Trade bill, which will destroy what is left of our economy, is necessary to fund Obamacare! Be sure your two US Senators know you are opposed to Cap & Trade and that you want them to oppose this tyrannical and unconstitutional bill. Remind them that CO2 is NOT a pollutant. It is a necessary element for all plant life and that plant life is necessary for all life on our planet. Sept. 11, 2009 "You Lie!" Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) shouts "you lie" during Obama's health care speech to Congress on Wednesday evening. Wilson later issued an apology. "I let my emotions get the best of me, I extend sincere apologies to the president." . But the question remains, was Wilson right? In their fact-checking, the press confirmed five lies told by Obama during his speech, LIE #1: "No federal dollars will be used to fund abortions." TRUTH: The Capps Amendment to HR 3200, Section 4B reads: “...abortions for which the expenditure of Federal funds are permitted..." LIE #2: "I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits either now or in the future. Period." TRUTH: The Democrat controlled Congressional Budget Office said Obamacare would add $220 billion to the deficit. LIE #3: "Don't pay attention to those scary stories about how your benefits will be cut...That will never happen on my watch. I will protect Medicare." TRUTH: The Washington Post reports Obama proposes "to squeeze more than $500 billion out of the growth of Medicare over the next decade....” LIE #4: "If you lose your job or change your job, you will be able to get coverage." TRUTH: Whether working or not, rich or poor, you will be ordered to get mandatory government-run health-care coverage, or pay a fine. .. LIE #5: "The claim, made not just by radio and cable talk show hosts, but prominent politicians, that we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens, such a charge would be laughable if it weren't so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie, plain and simple." TRUTH: Mandatory "end of life" counseling in HR 3200 "shall" include counseling every 5 years to the elderly, giving doctors a monetary incentive to persuade you to sign a "do not resuscitate" order. The Obama administration already pressures all Veterans to sign them. "The particular phraseology of the Constitution of the United States confirms and strengthens the principle, supposed to be essential to all written constitutions, that a law repugnant to the Constitution is void; and the courts, as well as other departments, are bound by that instrument.” Supreme Court Chief Justice John Marshall, Marbury v. Madison, 1802 Sept. 17, 2009 Constitution Day Constitution Day is an unobserved Federal Holiday that was established in 2004 by the passage of the Constitution Day Act. Previously, the day had been called Citizenship Day. Constitution Day recognizes the ratification of the United States Constitution. It falls on September 17 the day it was signed at the U.S. Constitutional Convention in 1787. The United States was formed as a Republic, not a democracy. In a republic all laws must follow the “Rule of Law” of its Constitution, not the temporary whims of the people, as in a democracy. Professor Alexander Tyler (1787): “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse (generous gifts) from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that the democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.” The United States Constitution was written to keep the federal government small and to keep the power and sovereignty within the individual states. Article 1, Section 8, lists the 18 categories that Congress has authority and the power to act upon. All the current bills (Health Care, Cap & Trade, Hate Crimes, etc.) presently in Congress (as were most bills passed in recent years) are not authorized by our Constitution. When it came time to sign our new constitution in 1787, several state delegates would not sign unless it contained a bill of rights. The Federalists felt the Constitution so limited the government, this was not necessary, the people's rights were state issues and the states already had bills of rights. However, in order to get the new Constitution ratified, a Bill of Rights was drawn up. The first ten amendments to our Constitution is our Bill of Rights, they were ratified on Dec.15th, 1791. Our Bill of Rights does not grant any rights, it protects our preexisting God-given rights from the government or any majority. The Bill of Rights restrains the government, not the people and it is the government's job to see that these rights are protected. Perhaps a better name would have been a Bill of Restraints! However, even with these restraints our Presidents, our Congresses and our Supreme Courts have ignored and failed to protect our rights. Our Presidents and our Congresses have ignored our Constitution and have gone way beyond their Constitutional powers. As a result our federal government has grown huge since the 1930’s. How do they get away with this? “We the People” allow them to! It is time to educate the American people and to get them to fight back. Waxman is responsible for piloting the bill through the House along with his co-sponsor, Ed Markey (D-MA). While Waxman may be right that the bill is decisive and historic, most economists claim it is a massive energy tax under the guise of protecting the environment. Let's Not Get LOST

Every year since the mid 1970s, the UNs Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) has come before the US Senate for ratification and every year it has been rejected by the American people and the Senate. This year, The Council on Foreign Relations is demanding ratification and Hillary Clinton has sent a memo to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee declaring that LOST is a top priority. Senate Majority Leader, Harry Read is putting LOST on the “fast track,” hoping to push it through before the American grassroots notices. LOST is part of a UN plan for a global program of taxation. This plan would involuntarily transfer wealth and technology from the developed world to the third world. All ship movements (including our military), fishing, and the exploration and production of oil and minerals on and under the open seas would require permission from and taxation by the UN. We must not allow the UN to take control of the open sea. This would be disastrous to the defense of our nation and our economy.
