IDOLS ARE: Tangible
GOD IS: Intangible – no physical form
IDOLS ARE: Morally similar- have human characteristics
GOD IS: Morally dissimilar – has divine human characteristics
IDOLS ARE: Comprehensible
GOD IS: Incomprehensible
Worshiping idols involves materialism, sexual immorality and doing whatever a person wants.
Worshiping God involves sacrifice, purity, commitment, and doing what God wants.
When you worship idols you are focusing on self.
When you worship God you are focusing on others.
