Don't Buy Products from China

Don't Buy Products from China
THE CAN FROM CHINA
Author unknown

I WAS BUYING FOOD THE OTHER DAY AT THE COUNTRY MARKET. ON THE LABEL OF SOME PRODUCTS IT SAID FROM CHINA . FOR EXAMPLE THE" OUR FAMILY" BRAND OF THE MANDARIN ORANGES SAYS RIGHT ON THE CAN FROM CHINA . I WAS SHOCKED!!? SO FOR A FEW MORE CENTS I BOUGHT THE LIBERTY GOLD BRAND OR THE DOLE which IS FROM CAL. TAKES FOREVER JUST TO BUY FOOD AND DO LABEL READING ! !

Are we Americans as dumb as we appear --- or --- is it that we just do not think? While the Chinese, knowingly and intentionally, export inferior and even toxic products and dangerous toys and goods to be sold in American markets, the media wrings its hands and criticizes the Bush Administration for perceived errors.
Yet 70% of Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to the Chinese should be suspended.
Well, duh.. why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?

SIMPLY DO IT YOURSELF, AMERICA!

Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says 'Made in China ' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong ), simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at how dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed at what you can do without.

Who needs plastic eggs to celebrate Easter? If you must have eggs, use real ones and benefit some American farmer. Easter is just an example, the point is do not wait for the government to act. Just go ahead and assume control on your own.

THINK ABOUT THIS If 200 million Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor... fast!!

The downside? Some American businesses will feel a temporary pinch from having foreign st ockpiles of inventory. "Wahhhhhhhhhhhh!"

The solution?? Let's give them fair warning and send our own message. Most of the people who have been reading about this matter are planning on implementing this on June 4, and continue it until July 4.? That is only one month of trading losses, but it will hit the Chinese for 1/12th of the total, or 8%, of their American exports. Then they will at least have to ask themselves if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness were worth it.

Why stop with just one month?

One of the things I recently learned is from China is frozen apple juice concentrate. So, I buy very little of it anymore. Next fall, when fresh apple cider is available, I will buy extra and freeze it. The orange juice concentrate has now also been replaced by the fresh squeezed US product in the plastic jugs. We need to support American farmers even if it does cost us a little more.

There aren't restrictions in China or many other developing countries for such using products as DDT, which was banned in America maybe 40 years ago, so why would we buy food from countries that use it? Do we really want it in our food?

We have one of those stores in town where everything is $1, it is just cheap junk from all those developing countries, so I don't buy it. Recently we bought a nonstick pan that was made in Italy. It cost $5 more than a comparable pan hanging next to it that was made in China, but we chose to support Italy instead.

It's all about choices folks!

Well that makes two of us who are in agreement so maybe others will join us in our efforts.  Let's hope so anyway.

I buy a lot of stuff online, and I would like to see it required that online and mail order companies put in their listings where things are made, not just "imported" for woven goods.  Maybe I should find some time to write to my congresspeople.  One company that does list the origin is Sierra Trading Post.  (I did find one error, though.  I really wanted a certain leather bag and it was listed as being made in China.  I rationalized getting it since it was a discontinued item, and it turned out that it was made in the U.S.)  I also try to avoid buying things from any country that has official anti-Christian policies.

BTW, besides Hong Kong, Macau is also part of China.  You might see that once in a while.
