I have been as busy as a bee of late leaving me without much time or energy to write. I really miss it.
Today was no different. I woke up early and got right into the day trying to beat the rain that was predicted for the afternoon. We went to pick up a horse trailer from a friend to haul a horse we bought this week. Her name is Belle and she is a 9yo Standardbred mare. We bought her to resell in a month or so. She is as gentle as a kitten and very cooperative. But she is very thin so we will will have to put a good bit of weight back on her. We got her loaded without incident and then made the trip to the farm. We moved a few other horses to make room for her and got her settled in.
Then it was time to move the hay. We had to move big rolls of hay from a field a few miles from the farm. We dropped the horse trailer and hooked up the flat bed trailer. I stayed behind with the horses while everybody else went to get the hay. The rain that had been predicted had arrived making the job less than enjoyable. While they hauled the 10 bales of hay I gave the barn a much needed cleaning. Didn't get anywhere near finished but we can get from one end to the other without taking our lives in our hands, now. LOL
After we finished with the hay, we dropped the hay trailer and hitched the horse trailer back up. Took it back to our friend and drank coffee with him and visited. Finally made it home and started in on the house work and email. I ordered a saddle and wanted to see if it has been sent yet. My work saddle flew out the back of the truck but that is a story for another day! I have to replace it and was fortunate to find a comparable one at a good price. God is looking out for me.
I have to get back to my house work and into bed soon. Time springs forward tonight so church will feel like an hour earlier in the morning. Hope you have all had a good day and I look forward to "talking" to you all again soon.
