There was never a more beguiling face
to woo me into eternal disgrace
than that dark angel cast out
forever from God's Heavenly place.
Temptations are of strong allure
and often in disguise seem pure
This world will pass away
But my Savior shall endure
When God descends his throne
To call his faithful servants home
And casts evil into a lake of fire
In the Book of Life I Shall be known.
To Him be the honor, praise be his name,
my Lord who to earth in mortal flesh came.
Suffering agony and the burden of my sins
that I could escape Hell's eternal flames
When I stumble and heed temptations call,
He who saved me will never let me fall.
No earthly bauble, no beauty here below
can compare to Christ who gave his all!
