A Country Christmas at the Home of Lana and DeanA Country Christmas with Lana and Dean
Lana and Dean have been friends of ours for many years. Every year they have an open house at their absolutely beautiful home and we consider it a special priviledge to be invited. I asked her this year if it would be alright with her if I took pictures of her home to share here at TGP and she graciously agreed that it would be fine with her. I didn't take pictures of the entire place because I would have been there all day if I had. 
I wish you could have been with us but this is the next best thing. Let the tour begin.

When you drive up the front drive, a person knows immediately that this charming place is going ot be a delight to tour. Their gardens are absolutely beautiful and they also have a spring tour of the home and grounds. The spring tour has been written up in our local newspaper to the delight of all who have attended both the Christmas and spring events. Signs of Christmas are everywhere in perfectly located spots all over the gardens. We will start our pictures with the front entryway.

Throughout the house and gardens you will see the many handcrafted wooden and metal items made by Dean and the creative and artistic arrangements and craft projects created to perfection by Lana.
Charming Christmas trees are scattered randomly throughout the home and adoreable little bears and other critters as well as Santas also sit around in many unexpected spots to the delight of all the visitors.

Even the bathrooms are perfectly delightful and reflect an attitude of peaceful and charming Christmases past.

I am sure you are beginning to notice all of the handstenciled walls. Those are all painted by Lana. The historic stencils mirrow a definite love for the past into the present day rooms.

It was hard to tear ourselves away from such a charming atmosphere. The smells and sights of a Country Christmas brought to life depart with us as we reluctlantly said goodbye to Lana and Dean. Before we left the grounds we took a stroll through their beautiful gardens.

This beautiful garden cottage was built by Dean and dedicated with love to his wife Lana. Everywhere you go on their property you are reminded of the love that this wonderful Christian couple share for each other and for our Lord. Happy Country Christmas everyone and may many happy memories go with you througout the Chrismas season as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I am glad you enjoyed the tour, Jo. Lana's home is one that I look forward to touring every year before Christmas. In the spring she usually has a tour of her beautiful garden and that is eagerly anticipated by everyone also. I have lots of plants in my own garden that came from Lana's garden and I treasure them because they came from her.
