14, 000,000 children were orphaned because of HIV Aids.
2,000,000 children have died as a direct result of armed conflict during the last 10 years

Meanwhile....
Americans spent $8,000,000,000 on cosmetics in 2005
Europeans spent $11,000,000,000 on ice cream
America and Europe spent $17,000,000,000 on pet food
Europeans spent $105,000,000,000 on alcohol.
