THE ANTICHRIST

Who is the Antichrist? The word Antichrist can mean “against Christ” or “opposes Christ” or “instead of Christ”. Some things the Bible discloses about him are:

A. The Antichrist is a man who will rule a global empire at the end of the age.
B. He will make a treaty of peace for seven years.
C. He will eventually set up his kingdom in Jerusalem.
D. He will help instigate the final battle called Armageddon.
E. The Antichrist probably will be Gentile not Jewish.
F. He will not rebuild the Jewish Temple; the prophet Elijah will.
G. He will control more than the EU.
H. He will bring peace only to his followers, and death to those who resist.

According to John, the spirit of antichrist and the Antichrist deny three things:

A. Both deny the deity of Jesus Christ (I John 2:22).
B. Both deny that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (I John 2:22).
C. Both deny the relationship between the Father and the Son (I John 2:22).

What are some of the names given to the Antichrist?:

A. The little horn (Daniel 7:8).
B. King of fierce countenance (Daniel 8:23).
C. The prince that shall come (Daniel 9:26).
D. The desolate storm (Daniel 9:27).
E. The willful king (Daniel 11:36).
F. The man of sin (2 Thessalonians 2:3).
G. The son of perdition (2 Thessalonians 2:3)
H. The Antichrist (I John 2:22).
I. The Beast (Revelation ll:27).
