Recently in Bible study I was reading the familiar story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. A very familiar story. God proved to me that the Word is alive and gave me a new insight into these verses. Consider that the "boy's" mother had to gather the grain, pound it into flour, mix the flour with milk, add leven, nead it two or three times, bake it in an outdoor oven probably made of clay in order to make the bread. She had to catch the fish, clean and scale it, soak it is salt water, cut into little pieces, and let it dry in the hot sun for 2-3 days and then pack the bread and fish in a sack for the "boy".
When you think of the effort for the production of the lunch then it makes you see the miracle that Jesus performed in a new light. He did not serve them raw dough
or raw fish. Think about this and you will see the miracle in a different light. What an awsome and "nothing is impossible" God we serve!
