Saturday was a record breaking day for me. I rode a total of eight horses in one day. Four had previously been my limit. My doctor put me on a new med for my muscles and I am feeling very well these days so I am getting to ride a lot more.

Saturday I rode three of our horses, including Shaq, my big gelding who rides like a dream. I had not ridden him since last October and he was rearing to go. I had to put a special headset on him to hold him in and after that he was a dream come true.

I also rode a friend's horse who brought her to us for a few weeks. She threw her teenaged owner over a year ago and had not been ridden since. They brought her to us Saturday and I rode her Saturday. She was a bit jumpy but other that she did fine. She is a huge horse and only three years old. I had to have a mounting block to get on her.

After we left our barn, we went to a friend's barn and I rode three horses for him. It was dark when I finished and I was pooped but it had been a wonderful day.

It was a very good day. It has been raining for several days so I haven't been able to ride. Bummer! It has also turned off cold today. Here abouts, they call it blackberry winter. I'll be glad when it warms back up. My saddle is gettin' cold.
