I rode Nutty Buddy on Saturday. Got the drill tech shoes on him so I can get him out of the little lot now. I saddled up and rode him in the lot for about 5 minutes. Knock was riding Godiva up and down in front of the barn. I think she has become his new trail horse. Poor little Goldy couldn't keep up and it was frustrating for Knock. You can only enjoy riding a sitting trot for so long. ( His feet still don't reach the stirrups. ) I took Buddy out of the lot and rode him up the road. Three friends came along on their way back from a ride and I went ahead of them up the hollow. I went through the "zoo". That's what I call our friend's place because he has so many animals up and down his road. Buddy shied twice and neither was violent. He also didn't try to run away. He did everything I asked him to do. I was very pleased with him.

Here is a pic but it is a very bad one. It was almost dark when we finished and the night setting had to be used. If the subject does not hold perfectly still, it won't focus. Buddy was ready to be put up because the other two horses were already in the barn and he knew it was supper time.

The look on my face is decieving. I actually had a great time. I was frustrated in the pic because I couldn't get Buddy to hold still. In the pic it looks like riding was the least favorite thing in my life. That couldn't be farther from the truth!
