We ladies put on perfume to make a sweet aroma to those we are around. God says in the Bible that our prayers come up as sweet aroma. In the Tabernacle and the Temple, each day the High Priest would take in the 11 spices to place on the alter in the Holy Place. As this burned the smoke always went upward, not out into the Holy Place. This is why the Bible speaks of our prayers as a sweet aroma to the Lord. Once again, God uses the natural to teach the spiritual.
